Bradford Helping Hands Gala a HUGE Success

December 11, 2025

On December 4th, The Barrie and District Labour Council participated in a gala hosted by Bradford Councillor Jonathan Scott and Jennifer Harrison at Brick N Fire, Bradford. We sent 4 members to attend. They all enjoyed themselves and the camaraderie outside of our hybrid meetings. Great conversations, and ideas to further strengthen the relationships within our Labour Council were had.

The atmosphere was marvelous and when the announcement was made that the event raised over $65,000, it was met with triumphant cheers, heart warming comments and utmost joy. It felt extraordinary to have been a part of that. We truly are Stronger Together!

The amount of folks that live paycheck to paycheck and the growing need for those that face food insecurity is heartbreaking. This was a necessary step in the right direction. Proud the Barrie and District Labour Council was involved in this, and the generosity of all the other sponsors involved in the fundraising.
